Email Permutator

This email permutator turns a first, middle and last name plus a company domain into the common address formats, from first.last to flast and fml. Accents are converted to plain letters, duplicates are removed, and the list exports to CSV. An optional DNS check shows whether the domain accepts mail at all.

Email Permutator

Runs an MX lookup through Cloudflare DNS-over-HTTPS. It shows whether the domain accepts mail, not whether a single address exists.

How to Use the Email Permutator

Enter a company domain and a person’s name to get every likely address in one list.

  1. Enter the company domain, such as example.com, in the first box.
  2. Type the first name and last name, and a middle name if the person uses one.
  3. Tick the mail server check if you want to know whether the domain receives mail.
  4. Select Generate addresses, then copy the list or export it as CSV.

What the Email Permutator Generates

The email permutator generates the address patterns companies use most, cleaned to plain ASCII and free of duplicates.

Email Permutation Generator

The generator builds up to 24 patterns from a first and last name, and 12 more when a middle name is given. Names are lower-cased, accents become plain letters (é to e, ș to s, ß to ss), and spaces, hyphens and apostrophes are removed. Identical results, such as two patterns that collapse to the same address, are listed once.

Business Email Format Patterns

Most companies use one fixed business email format for every employee. The list is ordered from the formats seen most often, such as first.last, first and flast, to rarer ones such as l.first. Very long names that would exceed the 64-character limit for the part before the @ are skipped.

Find Email Format for Company

The quickest way to find the email format for a company is to look at one address you already know from its website or a signature. Apply that pattern to the new name and you usually need only one guess. The optional DNS check confirms that the domain has mail servers, which rules out typos and parked domains.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is an Email Permutator?

It is a tool that lists the likely email addresses of a person at a company by combining their name with common address patterns. It does not look anyone up or prove that an address exists. Use it to prepare candidates, then confirm with the person or a reply.

Can Email Addresses Contain Underscores?

Yes. The underscore is allowed in the part before the @, so first_last is a valid pattern and appears in the list. Hyphens and dots are allowed too, although a dot cannot start or end the local part.

Are Email Addresses Unique?

Yes, each complete address leads to one mailbox or alias. When two employees share a name, the company has to vary the second address, often with a middle initial or a number, which is why the middle-name patterns are worth trying.

How Many Email Addresses Can a Domain Have?

There is no technical limit on the number of addresses per domain. The mail provider or plan sets the practical limit, and some domains accept mail for every address through a catch-all, which is why a domain-level check cannot confirm one person’s mailbox.
