Email Checker

Use this email checker to test an address before you send. It validates the syntax and length limits, looks up the domain’s MX records through public DNS, and flags disposable providers, role addresses and common domain typos. It cannot confirm that the mailbox itself exists, because no message or SMTP connection is made.

How to Use the Email Checker

Check one address at a time: enter it, run the check and read the verdict together with the reason behind each signal.

  1. Type or paste one email address, such as sarah@example.com.
  2. Select Check email to run the syntax test and the DNS lookup of the domain’s mail servers.
  3. Read the verdict, Deliverable — Domain-Level Only, Risky or Undeliverable, and the reason given for each check.
  4. To check a whole list at once, paste it into the Bulk Email Validator instead.

What the Valid Email Checker Tests

The checker tests what a sender can confirm without contacting the mailbox: the address syntax, the domain’s mail route and known risk signals.

Valid Email Address Checker

The address needs exactly one @, a local part of at most 64 characters and a total length of at most 254 characters, in the RFC 5322 format the tool supports. Quoted local parts are accepted. International (SMTPUTF8) addresses and IP address literals are rejected, because the check needs a public DNS domain.

Domain Email Checker

The domain’s MX records are requested from Cloudflare’s public DNS resolver. A Null MX record means the domain refuses all mail; with no MX record at all, the checker looks for A and AAAA records, the fallback that sending servers may use. A mail route shows that the domain can receive mail, not that a particular mailbox exists.

Disposable, Role and Typo Signals

The domain and its parent domains are compared with a public list of 9,917 disposable providers. Role prefixes such as info, sales or support, and typos such as gamil.com, also make the result Risky. An address that is not flagged can still be temporary or shared.

Email Validation vs Verification

Validation checks what is public, such as syntax and DNS, while verification asks the receiving server about the mailbox. This email checker performs validation only.

Email Validation vs Verification
Check What it shows Limit
Syntax validation Address structure Does not prove a mailbox exists
Domain validation Public mail routing Does not test the individual recipient
SMTP verification Mail server response Catch-all and temporary responses can remain ambiguous

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is an Email Checker?

An email checker tests whether an address is written correctly and whether its domain is set up to receive mail. This one runs in your browser and sends only the domain, never the full address, to a public DNS resolver.

Can You Check If an Email Address Is Valid?

Yes, for syntax and domain configuration. Proving that the mailbox exists requires an SMTP conversation with the receiving server, which a browser cannot open. Deleted mailboxes and catch-all domains therefore stay undetected here.

Why Verify Emails?

Checking catches typos and dead domains before a message bounces. Frequent bounces hurt a sender’s reputation, so checking new sign-ups and old contacts protects delivery to everyone else on the list.

Is This a Real Email Checker?

Yes. Every address you submit triggers a live DNS lookup, and the result names the resolver, the query time and the records returned. The result shown before your first check is labelled as an example.
