How to Use the Email Extractor
Extract email addresses from text in four steps; nothing leaves your browser at any point.
- Paste the text, HTML source or spreadsheet content, or upload a TXT, CSV or HTML file of up to 2 MB.
- Optionally enter exclusions separated by commas, such as noreply, @example.org, and choose alphabetical or original order.
- Select Extract emails to see the count of unique addresses and the list.
- Copy the result or export it as a CSV file.
What the Online Email Extractor Does
The online email extractor turns pasted text or a local file into a deduplicated list of addresses that you can filter, copy and export.
Email Extractor From Text
The extractor finds every string shaped like name@domain.tld in what you paste, including addresses inside HTML attributes such as mailto links. Each match is converted to lowercase so that duplicates written in different cases are removed. Addresses with non-Latin domain names are not matched.
Email Extractor From CSV File
Upload a TXT, CSV or HTML file of up to 2 MB, and its content is loaded into the text box for you to review before extracting. The file is read locally by your browser and is not uploaded to a server. Every column is scanned, so the addresses do not need to sit in a particular field.
Email Extractor to CSV
The result is a one-column list headed Email, ready to copy or export as a CSV file. Exclusions drop every address that contains one of your terms, such as a role prefix or a domain. Choose original order to keep the sequence in which addresses appear in the source.
Frequently Asked Questions
What Is an Email Extractor?
An email extractor is a tool that finds email addresses in a block of text or a file and returns them as a clean list. It does not check whether the addresses can receive mail; run the list through the Bulk Email Validator for that.
Is Email Extractor Free?
Yes. Extraction, deduplication, sorting, exclusions and CSV export are free and need no account. There is no limit on the number of addresses found, only on the 2 MB file size.
Is Email Extractor Legal?
Extracting addresses from your own documents, exports and correspondence is a normal data task. Sending marketing email to collected addresses is a separate question, governed by laws such as CAN-SPAM and the GDPR, which generally require consent or a lawful basis.
Can the Email Extractor Read a Website URL?
No. The tool does not fetch or crawl web pages. Open the page, view or copy its source, and paste that HTML into the text box to extract the addresses it contains.
